Ten Highest Paid Bachelor Degrees

Bachelor Degree StudentMost college students know that there are degrees that pay well, and degrees that struggle to land a job that can simply cover their lingering student loans (liberal arts comes to mind.) The highest paid bachelor degrees are where all the “you could earn more money by going back to school” pitches come from, while the other degrees might as well be labeled Your Next Financial Slush Pit. Not All Master’s Degrees Are Created Equal

Master's Degree studentYou’ve probably heard it before: the higher the education you have, the more your salary delivers. When the economy takes a slump, students turn to the education industry as a means to evacuate their unemployment (or less-than-desirable income from their current job); a great thing for colleges that are struggling with the economy themselves and need the student body. It’s a win-win situation, right? And what with everyone walking around with a Bachelor’s Degree these days, the Master’s Degree is the next on the academic food chain. Master’s Degree enrollment rates are higher than ever.

But not all degrees pay out their investment. A Master of Arts in Literature, for example, isn’t going to glean much benefit unless the graduate is the next best-selling novelist; better off that a B.A. in English pursue a Master’s Degree in education. M.A.’s in the social sciences generally don’t do well either, at least not as well as the C.S.W. or, better yet, the M.B.A. When students pursue a Master’s Degree program, it should be perceived as more than the educational evacuation port from the bad economy.

Pacific MapDegreeGo looked at Hawai’i Pacific University‘s MA/OC (Master of Arts in Organizational Change) program last month and the benefits of creativity in business. But not all students are interested in consultation and change; some students would rather focus on the traditional side of business when returning to graduate school.

Hawai’i Pacific University is just as excellent of a choice for the MBA student as it is for the MA/OC student. The traditional MBA at HPU is enriched by the university’s strategic location in the center of the Pacific, with students from the United States, Japan, China, and other global locales. Combine this with the university’s prestigious online degree options and you have an ideal candidate for distance learning or traditional Master of Business Administration degrees.
