Most college students know that there are degrees that pay well, and degrees that struggle to land a job that can simply cover their lingering student loans (liberal arts comes to mind.) The highest paid bachelor degrees are where all the “you could earn more money by going back to school” pitches come from, while the other degrees might as well be labeled Your Next Financial Slush Pit. Those less-than-lucrative majors have different rewards though, such as knowledge that has passed down throughout cultures for thousands of years; philosophy, literature, the fine arts.
